SPUMANTE BRUT rosè

A fine and fragrant traditional-method rosé sparkling wine, born from the blend of Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Its coppery hue and fine, persistent perlage introduce a delicate bouquet of wild berries, citrus fruits and rose petals. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and harmonious, with a graceful character and an elegant finish marked by hints of redcurrant, almond and small red berries.

General Characteristics

Denomination: Quality Sparkling Wine
Method: Metodo Classico.
Varietal: 50% Sangiovese, 30% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay.
Growing area: Northeast of Siena, in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, on the southern border of the Chianti Classico denomination.
Vineyard density: About 5.400 vines per hectare.
Training system: Guyot.
Harvest: Exclusively by hand into small boxes, in August.
Vineyard age: Starting in the mid-1980s, in-depth research was carried out Fèlsina’s terrains to identify the most suitable clones; shoots were then propagated and planted, and the musts micro-vinified.

The grapes are rigorously quality – selected, then gently pressed and the must macerates on the skin for 24-36 hours. The must is cold-settled, racked, then fermented at a controlled temperature. In spring, the new wine is bottled with a mixture of sugar and cultured yeasts, then undergoes its secondary fermentation. After 20-22 months of fermentation and maturation, the wine is disgorged, then topped up with a liqueur d’expédition. After a further minimum of 3 months ageing, the wine is released.

Deep, bright copper in colour, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is refined, delicate and fragrant, with notes of wild berries, citrus fruit and rose petals.
On the palate, it is dry, fresh and well balanced, with lively acidity and a graceful, harmonious character. The finish reveals lingering notes of redcurrant, almond and wild berries.
